I've had my XJR a few weeks now and in general the car is very clean and tidy. I had the Front discs and pads + rear pads fitted and the guys doing it told me there were a few other things that need doing quickly.

1. PAS PIPE (Steering Rack to Cooler)

2. Rear Drivers Side SPIDER BEARING

3. Front Passenger Side DROP LINK

4. Suspension BUSHES (Rear) are squeeking.
Is there a kit you can get to replace all of them?

I live in Nuneaton, Nr Coventry.
I tried a local advertised Jag spares company but was quoted £142.00 for the pipe alone.
Is this correct ??! (seems a tad expensive)

I just want to get the car running properly (without wobbles and squeeks) and restore it to it's former glory. Bit afraid to drive it as it should be driven due to these items being suspension/chassis related.

I have several good mechanics who work for me who can 'do the doing' (they work on exotic/prestige for several OEM's) and would prefer to give them a few quid before XMAS rather than a dealer. But finding spares is a pian in the a*se so if I may end up atking it to dealer and asking them to get it sorted.

Any help would be great and very much appreciated.

Paul, welcome to Jaguar (expensive) ownership smile

There are a couple of specialsits who might do things cheaper;

SNG Barrat - www.sngbarrat.com

David Manners - www.jagspares.co.uk/Manners/company.asp

Both are very helpfull companies.

Berkshire Jag components are good...I had a warranty (just out of) problem with some parts I bought from them a while ago and they bent over backwards to help and did a good deal on the replacements.

Thanks for the info chaps ....
I found a local guy (Chris Forbes) who has been most helpful and provided me with the parts at a VERY reasonable price.
Car 'feels' much better now the rear spider joint/shaft has been replaced.
Just the tracking and wheel alignment now and I should have one sorted XJR !!!
F*ck me though .... I bought the car as a daily user as my 911TT was costing me quite a lot to fill up .... this thing is even worse .... maybe it because I like the sound of the Supercharger Wine !!! ha ha
