...does this have to happen to me !!!

I'd spent a nice Saturday morning giving my new pride and joy a lovely wash, de bug and wax etc...

Needed to get a couple of bits for the fridge so nipped up to the local supermarket.

Upon my return I find my lovely clean and shiny Cerbie with a big long scrape down the drivers door where some fg wr has tried to reverse into a space next to me....

No note, :asifsomeonesreallygonnaleaveone: and nobody saw a thing!!!

Was in a massive and ready to start an or even !!

Several hours later and feeling a little calmer but still I managed to polish off most of the scuff marks but am left with a couple of long scrapes down the door which I think can only be resolved by a paint shop !!!

!!! WHY OH WHY !!!

a very sad

Commiserations - know how you feel

It's difficult sometimes to keep things in perspective, isn't it? Hope you get it sorted with minimum hassle.

'Er indoors went to Tescos on Friday in the Mini.

Someone reversed into that and has left a nice go faster stripe across the bootlid and scratches in the number plate lamp.

It was going to be replaced anyway, but thats just not the point now is it.

I am sure people think, well 5 litres of emulsion is only a tenner, that'll be about £20 to fix, balls to stopping...

Some did summat similar to my Omega recently. My local ChipsAway did a sterling job, and very reasonable price too.

Sorry to hear about the scrape.....

I can only sympathise the same happened to our Merc last week , "blue van man" parked next to us at DIY shop despite having the rest of the car park to dispose his piece of junk in,opened his door with such force leaving blue paint and a dent in our door .Words can't describe "people" like this.

Sorry to hear it Jnr, but like the others, I know how it feels, and there's only a few words to describe people who do this kind of thing.

I got back from work on Friday only to find someone had very nicely put a 2inch scratch on the front wing (right through the paintwork) obviously with a bag, or shopping, and thats in additional to a couple of weeks ago when someone did the same thing on the driver door. No-way either one will polish out, I guess when I've collected a few more then maybe it'll be worth paying out for some paint repairs.

Just makes me mad...

You'd be surprised jnr - I assume your german is good - check out the German Chipsaway web-site - they may be have someone local to you.

Tough luck Jnr - left my (somewhat warm) Griff on the drive on Sat evening for about an hour whilst it cooled off before putting it in the garage - noticed 2 scratches on boot and 2 more on bonnet. Sure they weren't there earlier - I think a local moggie had sat on it and slipped on the polished surface and stuck claws out - looks like that sort of scratch - so I can understand your frustration! (I've seen said Moggie on it before)

Jnr,

I can sympathise with you on this one.

A few months ago, the same thing happened to the wing on my Cerbera. Luckily, most of it polished out, but there are still a few fine scratches left.

The thing is, it was one of my neighbours that did this, or their visitors, and no one has said a thing.

Some people just don't give a 5h1t about other peoples property.

Neil.

Gutted for you mate...

...to add to the general moaning.. I parked the Saxo in the town car park on saturday, and some Ct nicked all the valve caps.. special chrome ones with citroen badges on them.

When I find the selection of BMX's with them on, their owners will find them in the river ..

Some people have no respect at all any more, taking my valve caps is just plain and simple Theft !

Matt.

Edited to add, this is the same carpark where some dozy git opened their cardoor into the side of the Chimaera too.. D'oh.

Not a camera in sight!!!

It was right next to a big kind of 'Come and get your big German Sausages here' vendor that parks up so there were plenty of people around all claiming to have not seen diddly !!!

Nothing winds me up more than small minded numpties who couldn't give a tupenny sh*t about anything.

The supermarket car park is just about the worst place to park your car, some times it can take me 5 minutes to find a space where I don't feel an incident may take place. I take into account the state of the vehicles around me and most importantly never park up to someones boot. The amount of times I see people actually reverse into a space without even a thought of how they are going to get their trolley between the gap is beyond me. Many times I have come back to my car and found a trolley left actually leaning up against me.
I had my Merc for 3 days before some tos*er managed to scrape my front bumper in Tesco's car park.
These people have no respect for themselves or others and should not be allowed on the road.

Unfortunately this is why I do so little mileage in my car as I just don't trust anyone if I have to use a car park.

It is amazing how many stories just on this thread where some one has received a scratch just this weekend.

Whilst driving in this morning near Victoria park I saw a beatiful Green Boxter (02) plate with lovely man made go faster stripes scratched into the front wing. Must have almost killed the owner when he/she saw it. Bloody Criminal.
I shall get off my soap box now.

All IMHO of course!

My wife thinks it would be good to have private carparks and you have to gain memebership. To get membership you have to take a parking test.. accordingly all the numpties can have their own public ones and bash into each other, and the rest of us can have our own one for people who can park and have some responsibility.

Matt.
