It's horrible. The ultimate Defender would not have road tyres and ramp breakover angle dstroying side-steps that cripple it's off-road ability.
Why do people insist on turning the only remaining proper off-road vehicle you can buy into sad pimp-mobiles?
Burn it I say!

That's true, but it is still a sin against nature and all that's holy to take a Defender and stop it being good off-road! If I bought a GT3 and fitted 750x16 mud crossplies and a bullbar I'd get massacred on here and rightly so, so I feel duty bound to hunt down and murder in cold blood anyone who turns a Defender into a lame suburban fashion statement and the local police are sufficiently inept as to allow me to hold a firearms licence so beware! Perhaps there is a second set of wheels with Mud terrains and they remove the steps for off roading?
It's what I do on mine. five bolts on each side for the steps. Takes 10 minutes a side. Also my steps are higher than the chassis rails so they do not limit the break over as such. They are no use as tree sliders. Having 2 small kids, I find DVDs brilliant for long journeys. Means we all arrive less stressed.
I give it a thumbs up.

Maybe the Ultimate Defender was taking it a bit far. Most luxurious probably. But i still love the look of it.I think the ultimate Defender tag goes to this..........
A SAS 110 Hi-cap DPV. Sadly no longer in service with 22 SAS.Of the 72 built ony 5 remain. This one being one of them. And these were only by accident. The four in private hands were bought out through the auctions as wrecked vehicles and rebuilt. The 5th is in the hands of the Dunsfold collection and was sanctioned by the M.O.D.The remaining 68 were slung in the crusher with a cretin from the M.O.D over looking the operation..There is still nothing that matches the sound of one of these as they drive by.I have never heard another V8 LR that sounds like a DPV.

Nearly right, but it's not a Defender. It was made before some marketing tt thought up the 'Defender' name so it's really a One-Ten. . . . . . biglepton said:

Very nice but the hardcore image is ruined rather by the nice shiny thermos flask perched on the side.Edited by BLUETHUNDER on Thursday 6th December 23:48
