My memory is failing, am i right in thinking you check auto box fluid with the engine running and the car in drive??? os is it with the engine running and the car inPark???

Engine running, gearbox up to full temperature (engine temp and gearbox temp are different things so take it for a 10 minute drive), box in P or N.

Make sure you have the correct dipstick for your gearbox.
