MG Midget Gearbox

Does anyone know if the Midget gearbox had a take off for a rev counter ?

Not as far as I am aware, The early models had a mechanical Rev Counter that took its drive from the rear of the Dynamo, later models had an electronic type,

Absolutely not. Rev counter take off was from the coil for electronic rev counters, and back of dynamo for the very early cars with mechanical speedo.

There is a take off for speedo though.

Oh and the 1500 gearbox can be used on the earlier engines but not the other way round.
