I know there are a few Eve Online players here so I thought I'd post this warning: the latest patch (Trinity) had a very serious problem with computers running Windows XP or 2000 where it could stop your computer being able to boot if you restarted it after applying the patch! The patch has been updated now to correct the problem but it you downloaded it before 4am this morning you may be affected.

Full details are here: http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topi... though if your PC's been hosed you won't even see this message unless you have access to the internet elsewhere.

In short, it's a huge -up eek

Addendum to message.

For those playing in Linux, the current Cegeda client is a crash happy piece of shit. But it does work. Currently, Wine will not fire up the client (even with the sync.c bitflip).

Don't restart, lol.

I think they took the patch down after about two hours so i wouldn't worry about it.
