hints and tips on buying used G50

Hey all,

I have tried the search function, but no joy,

can anyone point me towards the things to look for when buying a used G50 porsche transmission?

I know quite a lot about these boxes allready but some info on what problems I might be able to see from the outside would be nice.

The best tip is to buy from someone like PHii or CMS.

but if I find one next door, what idications of trouble should I look for,

(next door is a big german cars yunkyard, I live in holland btw)

Your only guide in that case is to check how far the car you are taking it from has travelled.
You would need to be something of an expert to tell the condition just by looking and feeling from the outside.
If the yard is just next door you can always take it back.
