Hmm, a friend of mine who has a PS3 told me March '08 too, and i didnt believe him. Maybe it is true.

I'm always sceptical with release dates for GT games, Polyphony always seems to be 6 months behind schedule.

GT5 being released will prompt my purchase of a PS3 and HDTV, so I need to start saving if true!

No those dates are way wrong, we get prologue by around march time (Japan gets it next week I think) It may not be the full game which im hoping will be out this time next year but it does have 40 cars 5 tracks and full online racing so it will just about do for now. Cant wait for online GT going to be carnage with 15 other racers.

I remember having a pre-order with Amazon for GT4, in around September 04. It ended up being posted to me May 05, even then the bastards at Royal Mail nicked my copy. Amazon, bless their little hearts, sent me out another copy.

Yep, as Hodgy says the March 08 date refers to the GT5: Prologue release, which should give us our first taste of 16 player on-line Gran Turismo

I thought Prologue was due in the UK this month and the full GT5 in March '08?

If what's said above is true, I'm going to buy Pro Street today to see me through!

The full GT5 will be ready when its ready . I would ignore anything amazon say until an official date is given, they will often guess until theres an announcement.

We haven't even got the Prologue Demo on the Europe PSN yet and it's less than 3 weeks until Christmas

GT5:P is due in Japan (I think) on the 11th December, so there is no way it'll be out over here this side of Christmas. The fact that we haven't seen the slightest bit of publicity would seem to confirm this?

So March 08 for GT5:P seems reasonable.

I don't really expect the full GT5 until this time next year (in Europe at least), maybe even early 09 going by Digital Polphony's track record

Really looking forward to Prologue though.
