I'm planning on fitting an Anderson jumpstart connector to my Chimaera either footwell or underbonnet. Not that I've had to jumpstart it yet but I don't fancy my chances trying to avoid shorting the battery if I had to.

I also want to fit an Accumate charging set up. If adapted would the Accumate charger work well plugged in to the Anderson connector or is this too heavy duty a fitting?

Hi there

I have an Anderson fitting in the passenger footwell for (God forbid) jump starts. Never used it yet. I have an Accumate on the wall of the garage adjacent to the drive's door when the car is parked. I feed the Accumate through a slightly open driver's window, and plug into the cigarette lighter in the driver's door. This arrangement works perfectly.

Hope this helps.

I don't think the charger will care about the connector being too heavy duty and should work fine

Thanks

I've got an Anderson connection under the bonnet on a chassis rail; I connect a trickle charger directly to it with small crocodile clips and it works fine.

If you need a complete kit including a decent set of jump leads see

I have already looked at your set - very nice. However I am already halfway there with an excellent set of leads.

Can you supply the battery lead/connector separately when I buy some Rear ARB droplinks from you?
