Has anyone managed to find an oil level sensor to fit there engine sump. Having one would save a lot of time as I tend to check my oil level VERY regularly.

Hi: The stock LS series motors have a oil level sensor. I have one on the GTR works quite well. I think all you would have to do is weld the approp[raite bung into your tank after you have figured out the right level. power to the sensor to a light and a ground and you have a low oil level light. My sensor came off of a 2002 Corvette oil pan. Lee

Hi Lee, I didn't know the LS used it, they do seem pretty standard on a lot of cars. Do you know how long the sensor is and any part number info etc. Do you use it as a switch then? I was going to add it to my dash which would display an actual level (ie 0 to 100%). I might just have to visit a few dealers and ask around then sus out how to drive it and mount it etc.
