Well first of all, may I say what a fantastic time I had. I can only apologise for not getting round to everyone for a chat and catch up. However it was great to see you all!
Second, that pub is excellent! Tasty food, well priced, and a good sized car park! Maybe a contender for the regular pub meet throughtout next year?
Thank you, Ian, for yet more superb organisation, and once again a huge thanks you to both Ian and John for your organisation skills throughout 2007 clap

I wish all a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2008!

Now my couple of pics from the day (also how the Merc looked when it was clean and dry wink )

Blimey, you don't waste much time! Nice pix.

I'll second those thanks to Ian, and also to Mark for suggesting the place. A much better ambience than the usual pub, and we may meet here again subject to your views. I was a little confused by the accounting however - first I paid the deposit, then was asked to put some money in a box, then was given some money in a box, then put some money in a third box, then pay the balance! But it was a very kind and totally unexpected gesture: thank you everyone for supporting the PH Roadshow in 2007 and there'll be more in 2008 (hopefully without any 'passing showers'!).

Now why does it feel like 9pm when it's only 5.30?

... and why does it feel like saturday night not sunday? grumpy

I though the pub was top notch. I'd love to meet there again. I was never really a fan of the other one, nice people, but it was just a bit small and the food was avarage at best. tumbleweed

Nice to meet a few ne people to.

The place gets my vote beer

Well firstly, thanks to everyone for the totally unexpected gesture of paying for my and John's meals yesterday. That was really nice of you all. What a great bunch you all are. clap

I think, having spoken to most of you, that everyone enjoyed the meal. I certainly did and thought that the pub performed very well. It may well be a contender for a new meeting place although it would be more expensive at about a £10 a head for a one course Sunday lunch. I have got a sample menu and will post this up on another thread in a day or two to gauge peoples opinion.

Well that's another successful year over with, time for a rest before it all starts again ! Thanks to everyone who attended yesterday, and who have suported us during the year at other events. Roll on 2008.

Nice to see everyone again, shame it was raining although it pleased my wife as it meant she didn't have to stand around looking at "boring cars". Women!!!!

We had a good time too. smilesmile

Nice to see all the old faces! again wink

Good pub with a fair size carpark. Should make a great venue in the summer!

We were going to drive along to Lackford Lakes to watch the starlings roosting over the marshes, which is just down the road from there, but the weather was too rough and they don't swarm unless it's a clear sky.
It's quite a sight to watch at dusk smile
