Can any of you recommend some good driving roads in Wales, I've heard there's some beauties up north but don't know which ones are the best. Also is there a decent track in North Wales that can be hired?

The best two tracks in/near North Wales are Trac Môn on Anglesey and Oulton Park in Cheshire.

Anglesey - http://angleseycircuit.com/
Outlon Park - http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/oulton-park/

Try this one - the Evo Triangle - it doesnt get much better.

The roads around it are pretty amazing too, & theres some very nice hotles nearby.

Have funbiggrin

A good trip is south to north and then come back or just go up or down with a bit of left and right thrown in. There are oodles of good roads and stunning scenery.

A470 from Brecon towards Merthyr, then once past the first reservoir on the right look for the A4059 to Hirwaun.

A483 from Newtown to Builth Wells.

Brecon to Leominster is good.

Ammanford to Llandeilo.

Ffairfach to Brynaman.

Just some personal favourites......

PM John_R.

He organised what was probably the finest run I have ever been on involving the brecon beacons and the black mountain which gives a mixture of fantastic scenary and fantastic roads.

Not forgetting Llanidloes to Mac. Then Aberdovey, Tywyn and Dolgellau. Many in that area.

Hotel wise, not been up there for a year or so but some corkers in here

The Abergwesyn to Tregaron drovers road is stunning. Not fast but loveley scenery. Don't attempt it in winter though, we had a rather frustrating new years eve stuck there a few years ago... but also some brilliant spring summer drives

a55 is pretty good some nice tunnels. If you drive all the way to abersoch there are some great roads along the way.

Dolgellau has some good ones too.

Try the B4396 from Abertridwr (Lake Vyrnwy) to Penybontfawr and then the B4391 towards Bala
