Hi all,

Have been asked to look into getting some .msi packaging software, but a quick Google finds quite a few.

Not having much previous experience with this, what software do you guys out there use as a starting point?

Going to be used for various 3rd party applications on a 2k3 network with XP clients.

TIA

Cheers guys, Wise was one of the ones that popped up on a search so will see if I can download a trial and give it a try.

Another one for the list to check out: AdvancedInstaller

Used it here for quite some time, never had any issues with it.

I've always just used the Windows Installer stuff that comes with Visual Studio. It isn't very flexible is the truth and automates practically nothing - but its free, copies stuff on and registers it with no trouble.

If you need to sophisticated things it won't be suitable, sadly.
