Just as i have been considering upgrading to a newer TVR, i read this months sprint with the article about TVR Power and their RV8 Turbo.

Should be available this time next year with more torque than the Supercharger. Cant wait smile

I was really interested in the supercharger but my pre serpentine engine ruled this out. So long as the turbo kit can fit a pre serp engine, i will definitely be going down this route.

I bet it will have turbo lag. Supercharger much more seamless power delivery.

Im doing one at the moment, I have just converted to megasquirt with coilpacks as a way to manage the fuel and ignition.

Then Ive bought a spare Y piece that I have hacked and mouted a large Single turbo to it with an external wastegate. This will be fed through a front mount intercooler (lots of space up front). Then Im thinking about a snow performance water/methanol injection 50/50 to keep det and charge temp at bay.

Will be looking to run about 7-10psi which should put me over the 5.0 territory. I think this is the way forward and has only cost me approx £1000 in parts so far. I will try and post some pics of the progress so far.

It would certainly have some, although with a small enough turbo (which if you are aiming for just more than 5.0 power it will be) with 4l of engine to play with, it should be VERY minimal. All abou the choice of turbo...
