What a trip!
We had 4 days on the track in Cartagena. Came off the track twice on the first day, both at the same place at the end of the start/finish straight. Basically going too fast, and ran out of road whist still on the brakes! Still, lesson learned.

And the icing on the cake......Day 3 I had a tuition day from Simon Crafar! What a bloke! Spent lunchtime sitting chatting about Foggy and the boys. He's such a down to earth bloke, it's unreal. He also told me I weas the first student he'd ever had who was able to follow his lines at speed immediately!!

Oh, and did I mention I'll be needing new sliders soon?! First it was the boot...Then the knee, then generally it was bloody everything scraping along the floor.

All was going so well, untill day four when I appeared to get on the gas too early out of a nice left hander, and spun the rear. Luckily (according to Mr Crafar) as I was sitting pretty much on top of the tank, all weight forward, my body didn't move that much and I stayed put. Instinct made me shut off which wasn't the best thnig to do, but I guess I just panicked. Kept it up right though!!

A great trip though...do it if you can. Roll on Jerez in April!

Cheers.

My mate has a few standing with bike and Sir Simon, but didn't purchase the on track ones. Trouble is, that the camera dick-head was out on his bike the day I had the tuition and was getting huge results. And the day after I was a bit off the boil after the incident. Add to that the 18million people in the queue...I left it!

Yeah, Chilli, which bike? I'm thinking of trading to a GSXR 750 and wouldn't mind knowing how it is long distance? With the Mrs? Is that just nuts?

Na, used the GSXR. Found it very, very good. Was not that much in it with the likes of the R1's and Blades, although I guess that there were a few that a few toys on them as I was left behind by a couple of them. Still have issues trying to get the bloody rear to stop squirming away under braking though.

It was nice to have the advantage over the 600's though!

Yeah, KIWI_UK was with Steve Plater...nice enough guy, but his first words to all of them were... "You know what, you're all sh!t"! Now KIWI isn't at all and lapped me during my "dark times"!!

No, but they feckin did! A few scrapes where it had been transported. Still, they did suggest to wrap it in bubble wrap, but when you have the riding ability of a blind cat, you expect a bit of damage so I'm not too bothered!

Sounds like you're quicker than this old timer.

Glad you enjoyed it. I've been meaning to do it myself, ever since Hottrax started doing such events - a friend of mine use to be an instructor for them.

Welcome back Chilli biggrin Sounds like you had a laugh. I was considering going on that myself but lack of funds prevailed. Will have to look out for the next one!

The track is effing difficult. No time to relax...it's one apex after another, and half of the time heavy braking has to be done whilst your still leant over.

Jerez in April if anyone's interested!!
