That car is for sale by PH Big Roy <--- Kevin beat me to it!!
I don't know Roy, I know from reading his profile in the past that he was into track days, so I guess its been on a track, which if looked after correctly (and cosmetically it does look good) wouldn't put me off.
I guess there's the usual things to check, plus a bit more attention to the mechanicals.
The V8 cams can go at about 60000 miles, but if it has been used on a track I'd pay close attention to this.
Roy hasn't always seen eye to eye with us on this forum.
Still looks a reasonable buy to me, I paid less (not much) and I'd say that car is cosmetically better than mine.
If you want a V8S choice is very limited - there are potentially only a couple of hundred left, there were only 400 ish made.

You're right - the bigroy now bears no relation to the previous member of that name. I didn't think that was allowed but hey.
bigroy (old) is now xxxxxxxxx (that's 9 x's) as a PH name if you want to view the old profile.

Any one interested in my S3c. Just painted and waxed chassis, tidied up engine bay and had it set up on rolling road (170bhp, 185lbs/ft)

I don't think there's any reason to stay away, the car certainly looks pretty good and if you read back through the posts the owner sounds like he's someone who knows how to look after it. I don't think he's a big fan of the PH scene, though he did make some pretty useful useful contibutions for a while. He's got it posted on ebay classifieds as well by the way.

I'm a newbie here. I looked at Roy's V8 8 days ago. I'm really looking for an S3C / S4C but the ad did make it look soooo attractive. I think that it is exactly all as described however Roy was mortified when I discovered a hole in the outrigger O/S just behind front mounting plate in drivers footwell.
Since I have decided that the V8 was just too much me - sorry chaps. However, impressively whilst I was there Roy booked the car in to have the welding done and sorted and collected using covered transport. I imagine that it is all sorted now.

hi all,just flicking thru the threads and noticed this one about this tvr, i know the guy who owns this car thru local shows and it is a nice one, always kept spotless and dry weather use only, as for finding a hole in the chassis i'm not surprised he was mortified!! if i know him, it will have been sorted the day after! he knows a local specialist who used to be the service manager at hillfoot tvr, (he rallies scoobys now but hey, it takes all sorts! lol)poor blokes only parting with it because of losing his garage space. As for the track day thing, he's never been on a track with it, its his wife that drag races some mental Escort RS TURBO!!!!

Thanks for the info, however the worry now is if moisture has got in, it could now be rusting from the inside out? Any thoughts?Maybe I should stick with mine as I know its a good'n, it just misses 2 cylinders.
