I'm looking for a decent GPS for use in the car. I'm after value for money, considering features versus price, but I do want to keep the price down as it is only for occasional use. I've seen there are some products by ViaMichelin that appear to fit this description (X970T NE).

But can anyone tell me if they are any good? Or, should I really go for the more established products?

The Snooper Strabo S350 is currently available with £50 off the RRP and includes FREE lifetime camera downloads (normally £99.95)for units registered before 31st December. Widely available for £149.99

Thanks. I'll look over the Snooper products.

Has anyone used ViaMichelin at all?

Nope, but if you're not bothered about having POI's (like cameras and McDonalds etc) or full postcode search, I'd recommend a 2nd hand Navman iCN 320. They're discontinued and probably pick one up for about £20-£30

Loud clear speaker, not for everyone I'll admit but I still drag mine out on occasion

Ive seen a tomtom 1 on ebay, refurbished by tomtom with extended 2 year warranty for about £100. gps-gb sells them, they are a good deal I think. I wouldnt like any second hand stuff. Anyway tomtom is the best by far.
