Been given free reign to get pretty much whatever I want when I buy one for my xmas pressie from the rents. Think I deserve it this year smile

I think Forza 2 is a definite, and I may splash out on a wheel and pedal set to really get into it...

But what else should I be looking at? I'm not really one for buying xbox magazines and stuff so just really want to know what's best for showing off the abilities of the machine and gameplay really.

Not really played much in the way of console games since GT3 came out on the PS2, so a good 7 odd years ago...

How do you get online? Is it a simple matter of paying for a years live subscription and then plugging it into a broadband point?

Lists of 4 recommended would be great, just so I can get into each game without getting bored of the same thing all the time. I got sooo ed off with San Andreas on the Xbox that it's sat in the loft for nearly 2 years!

Yes, subject to setting up a DMZ or port forwarding if your routers' NAT isn't XBL compatible. Cross that bridge when you come to it.

Erm, it's a BT homehub if that's easy to hook up. I could have got a wireless doobrie for it but thought it better to check I can actually work the sodding thing first! laugh

I've also got the bt hub conection is easy peasy. Just plugs into the ethernet in the back and away you go. If you want the xbox in a different room from your hub you will need the xbox wireless adapter about £55

pgr4 arcade racer
forza2 simulator
halo3, call of duty4 fps
recommend all of the above

the bt hub is xbox live compatable, no need for dmz nat etc etc

Guitar Hero 2 is better than 3, and probably on cheap somewhere.

Otherwise PGR4, Forza2, Oblivion (hours and hours and hours on this), Scene it as suggested.

And Lego Star Wars Complete Edition.

I think you can get Halo3 for free if you look on the xbox website.

Oh, and Zuma off XBL Arcade wink
