I was looking at my Speedo Officer?????
Discussion
What's the law on this situation???, hyperthetical.
1) You go through a red light,
2) You knock someone over,
3) You miss seeing the cyclist in the road,
Or
I was looking in my mirror at the camera & hit the peson at the junction who pulled out in front of me, even though I could have stopped if I was looking forward.

You are at fault in all of the above cases because you should have been travelling at a speed that would allow you to pass a speed camera without worry...
However, if a child was to be killed just in front of a speed camera by a driver who glanced down I think a bit of a debate would break out as to the actual safeness of these safety cameras...

Since it is speed that kills jumping red lights, knocking someone over or hitting a cyclist must all be perfectly safe. QED.
Or are there some wackos about who think danger on the road is due to countless infinately complex factors?

Anyone got a child we can sacrifice? It's for the greater good.. maybe we can buy a child that's pencilled in as a suicide bomber

Another point is the effect that actually being flashed has on your concentration for several moments afterwards. The flash itself is quite distracting, and that, coupled with the knowledge that you've just got a fine/insurance hike/banned must represent quite a serious danger.
