I've got some Paraflu 11 left over from my old car. It's a blue ethylene glycol coolant which you mix 50:50 with water, the Bible just says to use "an ethylene glycol coolant" so I can't see why it shouldn't be OK - however can anyone confirm if it's OK to use this to top up the coolant level?

no.

alfa coolant is specialy designed with ALFA cleaning particulars to keep scooter soot and burnt pizza soot out of the cooling system. In addition it should only be mixed with San Pellegrino as this has the correct co2 content.
