sat in traffic on a scorching hot day for over an hour slowly moving forward every 5 mins or so. temp gauge ok and fans working ok, then it cut out. after turning it over a few times it spluttered back to life and was ok, but you had to keep the revs up or you could tell it would cut out. once on the move and it cooled it was ok. used to get fuel evap. on a couple of xjs v12's i used to own. this was caused buy the fuel rails running above the hottest part of the engine. has happened a couple of times in the cerb. but only when really hot and only when stationary. wondered if any one else has had a similar problem.

Not quite the same thing but I've had mine cut out a couple of times during gear changes when I haven't been able to get it into gear first time. Not a nice experience!

There is a fuel cooler plumbed into the A/C system - but it only works when (obviously) the A/C is operating.

on the way up to diamond rock, and whilst attempting the Rockingham record attempt. your right though, there wern't many. the Harley hardley saw the light of day this year and only did 2k miles in the cerb. i don't take them out in the rain, they're sugar coated you know! wink
