URGENT - Need a 360 for a good cause - Monday 17th.
Discussion
Hi All,
Apologies to anyone who has already seen this request in the Headley Court thread over in P&P or in the London or Thames Valley forums. As time is short, I'm trying to get maximum coverage.
I spoke this evening with Tony, the Recreational Therapist at Headley about how we could best get the donations from Shadowninja's collection and convert them into gifts for the guys at Headley. As soon as he registered on exactly what PH is all about, he had an immediate question...
Would anyone be willing to take a 360 up to Headley Court next Monday??
The reason for asking is that one of his patients - who is a complete Ferrari nut - is finally leaving Headley after extensive treatment for head injuries received in an RPG attack. Whilst he was there, Tony found someone to take him out on track in a 360, which he loved. Someone else is building him a model of a 360 as a leaving present, so needless to say, if we could find someone with an actual 360 willing to turn up on Monday evening (the 17th) to "play Santa" and deliver it, this would provide the icing on the cake!
If you've missed out on either Darren's collection thread or the outrage thread which triggered it, feel free to go and take a read. If you have a 360 - or Tony says even "lesser" Ferraris such as Enzos would be acceptable as a stand in
- and you're willing to bring it out to make someone's day, please could you drop me a PM as soon as possible?
Thanks,
Chris.

ok, where is headley court and what time do you need it?
i have to be at work by 3pm and i'm in North London
Headley Court is about 5 minutes from Junction 9 on the M25 - the Leatherhead/Epsom junction in Surrey. I'm double-checking, but I'm pretty sure it's an evening event, so maybe not good for you? Thanks a lot though, and I'll get back to you anyway once I've got the time confirmed.i have to be at work by 3pm and i'm in North London
Cheers,
Chris.

Hi Harsh,i have to be at work by 3pm and i'm in North London
Just heard back from Tony at Headley.
Cheers,
Chris.
Sorry - Just got a revision on this! The best time of the lot would be 15:30, as they have a Group of British Legion bikers coming up then who could add to the surprise, but any time between 12 and 15:30 would work.

Sadly i think i'm not going to be able to do it,
i can get there for midday, but realistically would have to be gone by 2 to ensure being at work in the city by 3.
if those times work then i'm happy to help if not then i apologise.
If you could be there by 12 and stay anything close to two hours, that would be absolutely bloody amazing!!! i can get there for midday, but realistically would have to be gone by 2 to ensure being at work in the city by 3.
if those times work then i'm happy to help if not then i apologise.

Could you PM me some real World contact details?
Thanks a million!
Chris.

Top man, great to see people doing something for nothing in this screwed up world.email me through the site and i'll let you know who and where i am.

Harsh will have the place of honour - delivering the model 360 in his real 360 - but I've just had to fire off an email to my contact at HC to ask him if there is such a thing as too many Ferraris turning up there on Monday!!

So far, it looks like in addition to Harsh's 360, we've also got yellowtr's err... yellow TR
(and a special vote of thanks to him for spreading the message onto Club Scuderia as well), plus a couple of 430s and a 599.
I'm absolutely overwhelmed by the response! Thanks guys!!!
Good morning all, it's update time, so please pay close attention, and make sure you read the actions you need to take at the bottom!!!
I've just spoken with Tony at Headley Court. He is delighted with the response, and has confirmed that one way or another, everyone who wants to turn up will be squeezed in.
When I also told him that so many of you had offered to stick around for a couple of hours to take as many of the guys out as possible, he was even happier, and asked if we would like to become a more formal part of the whole day's Christmas celebrations.
There's a few things happening during the afternoon, starting around 3pm with the RBL bikers escorting a surprise visitor - let's just say the British Army hasn't deployed quite all its chunky kit to theatre just yet - up the hill to Headley, which we're all more than welcome to join in with, but the main event is the Christmas dinner, starting at 6pm, to which Tony has very kindly offered us a table for 10.
From what he was saying, he has got an enormous amount of support for this, so quite apart from Page 3 girls from the Sun and half the BTCC starting grid as fellow guests, they've also got Al Murray doing a sketch, and Clarkson, Hammond and May doing a Cool Wall special.
Now, I'm hogging a seat for myself, and the guys who have already emailed me their details - of whom there are 5 - have first refusal on places as well, but hopefully there will be more than enough space for everyone who wants to come.
So, here's what I need from you.
If I don't already have it, please could you PM/email me your full name, mobile, the model and registration number of your car (this is for gate security, not so I can sell them to Nigerians) and confirmation of what time you can get there (full location details to follow), plus whether you would like to be there for dinner.
Thanks!
Chris.
PS: I'll double post this on CS and PH - you don't need to read both!
