How rare are monaros ?

Does anyone know the numbers of them on the roads?

I think the original figures were...
04 CV8 = 230
04 VXR = 60
05 CV8 = 140
05 VXR = 355
(05s will include those registered in 06 and 07.)

...plus a few personal imports...minus a few write-offs!

I regularly see 3 or 4 around these parts.

Couple of black ones, a silver one and another red 'un.

Never see any in the Woking / Guildford area... or Camberley, Yateley, Sandhurst for that matter.

I live in Fleet, just down the road from you. Only seen 3 on the road in nearly 2 years! And one of those turned out to be 5 mins from my house!

I drive past an ex top gear one every day on the way into work. And often see another red one around Milton Keynes, as well as a couple of VXR8s and a pair of green utes. But then living close by to Monkfish does increase the likelyhood of seeing one slightly.

There are 2 GTS in the Wokingham area - mine plus a GTS-R I believe.

There is also a red Monaro in Wokingham and a red VXR that parks at Farnborough station sometimes.

2 in little Andover including mine. Used to be a very nice red VXR one but its long since disappeared.

Apparently there is a yellow one near where I live (bloke at my work told me). I've never seen it though.

I've only ever seen one on the road, a blue CV8 on the A3, and that was probably a couple of years ago. I occasionally get excited when I see round tail lights in the dark, only to get closer and discover it's a mondeo
Statistically, I don't think I'm ever going to see another 5.7 VXR on the road

I live about 3 miles from Greens and apart from one which is permanently parked on a driveway about three miles the other side of Greens, I have only seen 1 other in this area (silver) and 2 others on the road at all, in 9 months of ownership!

Two of us at work have 6.0 VXRs and I don't even know the other guy. I've seen about 6 others about.

I'm Bradford area, but other side to you being in wyke, I've only ever seen one other in a pub car park about four years ago! So think it's just you and me in these parts. Probably due to the fact that there are no garages in Yorkshire able to do warranty work on a 'Ro! I need an oil service on mine and the nearest place that hasn't been moaned about yet is Loughborough!

A bit OT but I have looked in the service book and the 50K service was done 1.5K ago but the anti corrosion bit was not stamped. Will I be charged for this and where can I take it around West Yorks?? as I dont want to not have this coverd

Hiya PixieOver Wakefield way and there is a few around these parts. Had it twice recently where I've parked up somewhere busy and returned to find another Monaro a couple of slots away, sure they were'nt there when I arrived. Yesterday went to Harrogate and found a Pontiac GTO so parked near him too!

Owned my ro now for several months and have never seen another on the road,when I lived in Staffordshire regularly saw one drving around the town of Stone,but none since.There are quiet a few in Scotland but none local to me so may be a rare sight for me to see another

Yes, funny enough I see more VXR8s too! Silver one today heading in the direction of Greens Rainham branch.
