Hi All,

I'm new to the DSLR world after purchasing a Canon D400 yesterday evening. I am completly new to this photography lark.

Can anyone recommend any books that will give me the basics I need to get started but also some more in depth stuff.

Thanks,
Pete.

A very good book to understand the basics. I shoot mainly in M mode and capture in RAW.
The best thing you can do though is get out there and practise.

I learned a lot from this;

I believe it's required reading at A level.

Try

Its a Canon specific forum, I find it a fantastic source of info. Oh, I second Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson, its a superb book.
