Could it be that the lock on the door has frozen in the "open" position - try antifreeze/oil in the mechanism maybe?

Had a similiar problem with the passenger door on my Chim and assuming it's the same as the Cerb then try tightening the 3 allen screws around the receiving mechanism.....mine had come loose and the mechanism wouldn't catch the door when you try and close it. Make sure you don't overtighten them though as the plastic washers can split as I discovered frown

Cheers fella
Tried that but no joy, i can move the mechanism further than the door does with a screw-driver and it still wont lock.

I got mine to work by using a screw driver on the lock to 'click' it open at the same time as pressing the key fob to unlock it. It works ok now....but something is out of line because it shuts making a louder 'thud'...if you know what I mean.

Try TVRPower http://www.tvrpower.co.uk/

or http://www.thetvrshop.com/

or http://tvrcarparts.com/pages/default.asp

Not sure how you get to the inside of the lock.

look for a little spring that should slot into a small hole that pushes the latch up or down after the door is opened(cant remember which way round it is). this was a problem i had a few months back.

Well i was on my way so the garage last night (having to hold my door shut!) and was almost there when i noticed that i wasn't having to put much effort into holing it shut for the past few miles, tried to push it open and the bloody thing had closed! I pulled over and it all works fine now!!

Think i must have a self healing cerbera!

Sounds like a sticky actuator. Had that on my car, but my door would randomly open when driving down the road! The actuator was not returning to the correct position and not allowing the latch to sit in the correct position.
