por 15 advice

hi im going to paint my chassis tomorrow and have a question for anybody that has used por. the chassis is primed with metal ready and now the question the instructions say wash off the metal ready before painting but when i phoned frost technical they said dont wash it off theres no need so now i dont know what to do as metal ready is an etch why wash it off,what did you do?

It definitely says rinse off and dry thoroughly and expains why, I did it on mine.

thanks splundge it was what i did not want to hear but off i go to wash it down. but you would have thought frost would know this

It takes a fair amount of rinsing to get it off once its dried on, it seemed to come off easier if I gave it a light spray with the metal ready again before the wash.

I washed mine off as well, I found that I got better paint adhesion?

your not wrong what a git to get off still i think its all off now but i will check in the morning if i have to rewash ive found my big gas blowlanp dries it off quick thanks for the replies
