Well boys and girls do you think the build quality will improve "IF" this deal goes through.
I suppose as the Cowboys have been building them for the last 60ish years, it's time to give the Indian's a go to see if they do any better.

i wonder why Ford are selling them really, apparantly Land Rover are one of the few companies they own that actually turns a profit.

Becaus they are so deeply in dept they need the capital release more than they need the revenue. They had to arrange a $24BILLION mortgage this year to help with solvency. Can you imagine what the interest repayments are like?

ah that explains it rather well then smile , it would be nice to see LR back in British hands really but i doubt that will happen, im still wondering what they have in the pipeline for the L322 replacement which must be due in the next couple of years?.

Would love to see JCB buy Land Rover. I reckon that would be a pretty cool combo marketing-wise, build quality wise and it would be back in British hands.
