Broken it !

I couldnt feel much heat from the drivers side footwell vent, so I got my head down there (after getting out of the car)and noticed that the flaps in the vent were open, but pointed up towards the dash. Not good for my cold feet I thought, so I tried to rotate it. B****R. The flaps which are the only place to get a grip broke.

Does anybody know if the unit just pulls out, and it it does, will it seperate from the duct behind, such that I cant re fit it? Also what car does it come from (besides a 97 Chim).

I think it does, i vaguely remember pulling the passenger side one out to un-route a GPS antenna a previous owner had installed.

No idea what car its off though sorry

Are you sure its broken, they often seem to clip back together. Could be that someone was over generous with the glue when fitting the carpets?

Thanks guys, I may try and see if the passenger side is easier to remove, so that I can see how it comes out (also a bit more room that side)before forcing the drivers side.
