MAZDA MX5 RESTYLED FRONT TO LOOK LIKE LOTUS ELAN

HELLO, I NEED SOME HELP I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A MAZDA MXS WITH FRONT END DAMAGE, I REMEMBER SEEING A MX5 WITH A REDESIGNED FRONT END THAT LOOKED LIKE A 60'S LOTUS ELAN, THE FRONT BUMPER AND POP UP LIGHTS OF THE MX5 WERE REPLACED BY A SINGLE ITEM WITH FIXED HEADLIGHTS.

I'm not sure I'd characterise it as looking like an Elan, but this is a (the ?) fixed headlamp conversion for the MX5.

sorry for shouting, no thats not the one, the one i saw used the original mx5 bonnet and used mini, mgb style head lights set at the front of the wings i have a photo of one reg m635nph but not sure how to down load, thanks.

There was a rather nice Mazda produced MX5 coupe - either a concept or a very low volume JDM car, can't remember which. That was stunning.

That looks nothing at all like a Lotus Elan!

The Elan has pop-up headlamps for a start. For comparison, the blue car on my profile pic looks more like a 60's Lotus Elan.

thanks, but this looks like a face lift model, the mk2 with fixed lights, looking at the way the bonnet fits, looks good any way.

There's and MX5 near me with a 'revised' front end. Looks more like a Frogeye Sprite though. Not very pretty.
