dump valve

Hi all, Is there a special dump valve I need for the 3r or can i use a double piston one from forge? One for sale on ebay states it was designed for the noble?

As far as I know, the forge ones are the best, most of us have them

What advantage is them in fitting the solid induction pipes over the standard hose ones?

I fitted hard pipes because the inlet manifold pipe was collapsing when the throttle was blipped at idle so I figured this may be not good.

Definitly. A dump valve will prevent the turbines stalling during gear changes.

Got mine from Noblemods http://www.noblemods.co.uk/index.html
They do either just the BOV or you can order hardpipe kits from them too. Very easy to fit but one thing to check is that you have a yellow spring installed. No biggie if it's a different colour, those kind chaps at Forge will have a yellow one with you double quick.
If you decide to install without the hardpipe kit, I'd recommend that you remove a circular section of the pipe with a tank-cutter and then bisect the pipe to install the BOV. You can then but the pipe up nice and tight and it minimises the twisting action under load.

This subject comes up over and over again, The best Dump valve is the ajdustable Turbosmart one in Demon Tweeks, they do an internal or external version. The external one is very loud. The hardpipe is a myth, the silicon pipe flexes for a split second and then doesnt move, but as i said earlier the metal one looks much better.
