What mpg's can I look forward to in my forthcoming 335i

Am collecting a 335i M-sport Tourer in a couple of weeks. Heard so much good stuff on the derv but also heard that the i is a reasonably economical engine. Anyone got any readings to share on the i?

Had the 335d before, now 335i. Fuel consumption in comparison pissed me of at first (not only the cost, but only getting a third of the d's range). Can't tell you the mpg figure but mine uses approx 13,5 l/100km's (average thru 5.000 km). I let you do the math's
I am sure there are some figures already on here.

27mpg isnt badly for a car that has been on a few trackdays has has been driven spritedly.

I road tested both the 335i and 335d for a day before deciding on the 335d - average mpg was 23 for 335i and 34 for 335d.

i think evo's figures are very accurate. they do drive them HARD but do lots of motorway miles which balance them out. 27mpg compared to others on the fleet (vectra - but andy morgan does have a lead foot ) is good imo

I'd say the Evo figures are optimistic as a friend of mine sees an average of 25mpg (12k on the clock).

I've run a manual 335i M Sport Touring for the last 4 months

I'd say that 60% of my mileage is on motorways (90+ wherever possible) and the rest bobbing around town or local B roads

Mine's a company car and it gets plenty of abuse.

Averaged about 25mpg over that time

Steady 90 on the cruise sees the car doing 27mpg

Expect to get average of 26 mpg if you set your computer to O and then do 1000 miles of combined motorway and A/B road driving...

I am averaging 12.0l /100km over the first 14.000km, 4000km innercity i would say and 10.000km motorway.

but with this engine, who cares. for economics better buy something else IMO
