memory card problems

[pja]

I have an old olympus digital that I use for work /holidays & stuff
when I used it yesterday I took one picture & now the camera is asking me if I want to format the card & won't let me do anything else (just select: yes or power off)
Today I tried the XD picture card in the PC thinking I could pull the pictures off it..... & thats asking me the same

There is a few recent pictures on the card that I dont want to loose

Anyone in the PH masive got any ideas?

Try this software, testdisk,
seems to have been recommended on here before. Windows link provided, there is a Linux version as well, just search these forums.
