Extended Warranty Costs?

Quick question, I have an '05 BMW 120d which is due to go out of warranty in the middle of next year.

Does anyone have an idea of what the cost to extend the excellent BMW warranty is likely to be.

And does it include pan-European breakdown assistance?

£600 +- and yes. But there will be an excess on claims. It's really much more like an insurance policy now.

As much as that, thought it'd be nearer the 400 quid mark with no excess.....

I was under the impression that the extended warranty was on the same terms as the original manufacturers warranty?

used to be cheap-as-chips £690 for an M5... Consider it now an 'insurance' and not a 'warranty'..

The excess is likely to be £100 as well. Used to be brilliant now wouldnt touch it with a barge pole even my dealer said its not worth it.

Was £ 510.00 for my M only a few years ago.

I dont bother any longer either ...

Yep did mine recently (rightly or wrongly) for around the £600 mark and theres a £100 excess.... is it good value to money.. NO! But will the Z4 break in some annoying fashion or lock me out again before i sell it next summer... probably therefore i need it whatever the cost.
