Sample front Indicator lens required

I am about to send other obsolete TVR lens out to a manufacturer to get quotes...I need a sample 'S' unit, which I have not got....this can be cracked, or lightly damaged but not with bits missing (if you have bits that can be glued together then that would be OK). I could not return it as it would stay with the maker as the 'example of'. IF they gets made then the person would get a set of the new units F.O.C. .....

This might allow them to be available, I cannot see that they will be as cheap as they were or as cheap as the Kia unit, but available, and I am in the business of suppling TVR parts.

In my honest opinion, I think it could be a waste of time and money. Unless S owners are going for the concours look, I'm sure many would sgree that the Kia and BMW e30 lenses are adequate, and to be honest in my opinion, better. I dont want to put you off but just my thoughts

I think its a great idea to have them made Adrian I am certain I have one lying around and will have a look tonight and let you know - you might want to make enquiries as to whether they can do them in clear also as I for one would be up for those.

Having said that Adrian - you may wish to put a post on here for market research purposes before you splash out on the tooling etc as there were a fairly large batch of lenses recently on e bay which all got bought up by PHers for spares / replacements and it might be that everyone has what they need.

Thanks for the thought, I will be adding this to other lens already being looked at, the more I can deal on, the easier it is to get things done, Price is the key....if this is correctly priced then...the Kia/M3 lens will not be needed.

Adrian if you're interested I spoke to the original manufacturer some time ago - they said they would have to check their tooling archives to see if the moulds still exist - they thought they might.
I'll try and dig out the details, drop me an email if you're interested, I don't think it would be right to post the details on here.
