Early Scooby, circa 280 bhp, for about £7K would be hard to beat, bang per buck!

Just a thought, but what about a motorcycle Nicola?

Give me a mere £4,000 and i will locate you a reliable bike, in great condition, which will provide you with;

0-60 in around 3 seconds.
0-100 in 5.5-ish seconds.
0-150 in about 12 seconds.

A top speed of around 190 mph.

No more trouble from pesky Porsche 911 turbos and Ferrari F430s. Just go by them!

I have never owned one Nic, but they are great, as long as you don't mind high fuel and oil consumption.
An ex-girlfriend had an immaculate twin-turbo RX-7 and it was great to drive.

Just resist tuning it, imo, they are plenty of trouble when bhp goes high unless you have lots of dosh to throw at it.

I'm going to look at one tomorrow, I'll have a little drive in it no doubt see what I think! voom, voom, don't think the man realises what he's got ... he said "it's quite a scary car, I wouldn't drive it fast" He's had it two months and thinks it's lethal.

It could be interesting having a test drive with him in the passenger seat!!

yes Hopefully! It's not as if I keep my cars long though anyway, gotta be worth it for 6 months motoring? Shouldn't lose money either.

I've realised theres too many cars out there and if I put £5K away for spending on cars, I can explore so many different sports cars instead of just keeping one!

Why not, Nicola, indeed! biggrin

Experiencing as many cars/bikes as possible was always my aim.

(110 cars and 90 bikes, to date, has had a drastic effect on the old bank balance, alas!)

I have just bought a nice little Honda S800, a 1969 car, a restored RHD coupe, in red. Only 70 bhp, but 9,000 rpm technology from the 60s!

If you buy the Mazda, give me first refusal when you sell it!

Boosted, before I buy should I get a compression test done on the car?
