It's knacked. Got a 3.9 Disco one on at the mo but it's borrowed and although it runs OK the power isn't there so does anyone know what I need to be asking for other than a V8 Hotwire AFM? Part number?, original car it was from - i've searched Disco and there are at least 3 types, the same with Range Rover.
I'm not junking the ECU etc so just want a replacement.
TIA.

As standard it would have a 5AM, but that's the same as the 3.9 Range Rover classic so if it's running badly on that (and assuming that one is working OK) you probably have some other fault.

The RR was discontinued for the 4.6 pretty early, most compatible bits come from the disco with the interim spec engines MA-LA are the chassis nos for the relevant engine specs IIRC.

Have been told ERR5198 was the original LR part number - Is this the one (the Disco one on the car is ESR1057) if that helps.
It runs OK but seems to be lacking power?

FFG, I had some work done at TVR power last July.

Including both AFM and distributor replacement. Power used fully reconditioned units. These are still under guarantee and have covered less than 2k miles.

Very soon I am having an Emerald system fitted, so all the Lucas system and ignition system will be available.

Emerald have said they expect to deliver next week to V8D, who will fit ASAP,plus other tuning. Hopefully it will be all done by xmas.

Drop me a line if any bits are of interest. There's a spare 14CUX ECU to go as well.

It was a Power refurbed one that's lasted just over 12 months and now bought 2 off e-bay. Unit was kaput.
Yes it was returned to standard and no end of problems ever since.
Thanks all.
