Shamelessly nicked from elsewhere, but to good a thread (piccies) not to share about a bit:

Will be speaking to someone at Sant'Agata on Monday to find out what the hell they think they are playing at starting my Reventón up in front of the public... (see, I can type whilst being asleep - that car really is a whole pack of mutts nutts ain't it?!?!?)
That red car is one of the Cala prototypes (I think) which was a still-born car that almost lived in the no-'small' Lamborghini years between the last Jalpa and the first Gallardo...
Now heading for a quiet sit-down watching dumb-ass TV or the cieling and not thinking about when my Reventón is being delivered... jeez, some people come on here pretending they have cars like that without having them or even a Lamborghini of any kind - surely I can do the same, it's nearly Christmas after all!!
edited just to say thanks to Mosi for posting the link and this:

David,
Sorry to disappoint, but the red car is not the Cala. The Cala was the V10 engined 2+2 from Ital Design that was doing the rounds in 1994, at the launch of the Diablo Jota. It was only ever painted yellow, and currently resides in the Ital Design museum.
The red car looks like either a customer ordered special, in the shape of a cross between the still born Canto prototype, (what a car) and a 6.0 litre Diablo.
To my knowledge, only two Canto prototypes exist today, a black one sold to a collector in Japan, and the burnt orange car that was scooped by everyone in 1999. (I don't know where the orange car is)
It looks as though this car is neither of them, but it could be an early styling buck for the Canto, especially if you look at the rear deck arrangement.
Stunning car though, as is the early Gallardo prototype in white.

Alan - looks like we are both wrong - although you are less wrong than me (which is not at all unusual, I know!)The red car looks like either a customer ordered special, in the shape of a cross between the still born Canto prototype, (what a car) and a 6.0 litre Diablo.
I sent Cristina Guizzardi an email regarding that car and her reply was (not even edited a tiny bit...)
The red concept car which is here at our museum is similar to the Canto. Its name is A C O S T A and it’s different from the Canto. Have you ever heard of them?
As the great and wonderful Cristina is the curator of the Lamborghini museum, most of what she ever says I regard as practically unquestionable.
In this instance, whilst I remember both the Canto and it's giant icecream scoop intakes and have many an image of the Cala (which, by the way, is actually the Welsh word for 'penis' -dot dot dot!) this car is therefore a new one on me for certain!
Nice to see something I've never seen before!

Thanks for that David, as you say, it is nice to see something that is different and unseen before.
I have a great collection of Japanese car magazines, such as Genroq, Rosso and F-Road, and they all have an article on some fancy special order car made by the factory for some very wealthy collector. Their seems to be a never ending supply of specials out there, but our domestic car magazines never seem to feature them.
Iconic cars such as the L-150 Countach, built for Patrick Miriam but sold to raise funds, the Canto prototypes, the Diablo Jota PO1, PO2 and GT1 models, and the Diablo VT-R all get coverage, but it is good to see Lamborghini putting something like that in their museum.
It seems as though unless it has a prancing horse on its nose, one-of models turned out by Lamborghini don't get the same exposure, unless it is Piet's glorious Muira Jota.
Lets hope the Reventon (shhhh, don't tell anyone I mentioned its name on here!) changes all that.
Warmest regards of the season to you,
Alan.

Alan and anyone with enough willpower and strength of constitution to withstand it...
There is (still, I think) a bunch of people in some part of Latin America that were able to finagle some kind of deal from Lamborghini a long while ago.
Nobody seems to talk about them, and if you look at the website and look into the details, there is a ruddy good reaon why...
It's all really extremely gruesome and then, when you least expect it, also very, very hideous...

Indeed, the COATL... Thought about that first, but when I found the website, and saw the horror (again), i realised the red one wasn't THAT bad...There is (still, I think) a bunch of people in some part of Latin America that were able to finagle some kind of deal from Lamborghini a long while ago.
