My Porsche will be sold within the next week, I've got to buy a car for £5K max which can never, ever compare.

I really don't think I'll have any interest in motoring, though I'll buy a Sports car, a proper classic isn't really a choice I have the car will be out on the street in all weathers.

I'm sure a few years will bring me a car I'll love as much as my Porsche .... so until next time!

and I was the one who said "It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it" not a truer word spoken if you haven't been spoilt by a utterly fantastic car, as soon as you have and have to go back, nothing can ever be as fun.

Be on here until my Porsche goes, doubt I'll make it to anymore meets as it'll probably be gone.

Don't be bloody silly Nicola, we don't care if you come to the meets on a Raleigh Chopper, it's you we want to see not what car you have, we're not that shallow.

Warren won't be around on weekends, as they are occupied Attending anger-management course,

So Nicola will certainly be needed at the meets...

A 96 plate M3 Evo for that kind of money. It goes some way to comparing with your last car, a bit...

Er no not lasted long though I still have the Porsche at this moment in time.

Debating on in no order:

E36 M3
Two Alpinas: one a B2.5 one a B3
MGB
TVR Wedge or S
MX5 ... supercharged (gotta be fun?)
E30 325i Sport or Conertible
Lotus Elan M100

Surely I haven't lost any hope? If I had I'd probably have gone and brought myself something shit with a new style reg!

Don't be ridiculous Nicola. You can have fun in any car. Nobody really gives a stuff what you drive. Sure we all love a great car, but we think more of you than any car.

I've always had an interest in cars and bikes. Whether or not I had a car at the time or drove a shed had absolutely no bearing on that fact.

Sorry but we have to decline your offer of resignation. Tuff, you have to stick with it.

What everyone else has said. You can have plenty of fun in £1000 Mini. Take ir down the Cat and Fiddle and you will find that you can outperform plenty of far more expensive and faster cars. If I could fit in one I would probably have one now.

As I have often said to friends, the best thing about the midland meets are that they are not really about cars and there is no snobbism about what you turn up in.

Don't leave, we need to keep the female contingent, or else we will all be desmissed as a bunch of sad middle aged blokes in a pub talking about cars .....

Well I could always rip out the rear seats and move the seat back a bit. Or rip out the front seats and use the rear scratchchin

You've answered your own question. idea

Out of that list I'd go for a wedge or SC MX5 (wink), but as has been said you can come to meets in anything. Part of PH is the diversity of cars everyone drives, but more importantly the people that drive them.
