OK, not a happy bunny.

Some old dear got impatient and nearly hit me whilst I was trying to squeeze past some dipstick who had parked too close to my drive tonight.

In the momemtary panic of picturing a Ford Focus mating with my N/S wing I mis-judged the turn and and created a lovely 8inch imprint of the kerb on my new VXR alloy.

I've managed to locate what looks like a good repairer, but before i go contacting them, I want to give them as much info as poss. The main info is the manufacturers name for the colour of paint.

Is it called Shadow Chrome? Did try a search, but most results are showing up the problem with the in-consistencies in the batches of shades.

Many thanks. I'm now off to go and have a good cry.....

This may be of some help I found this list of colour codes for Holden GM, there is a listing for "Chrome Shadow Metallic" which is the name used in some of the old HSV brochures also on the net.
GENERAL MOTORS HOLDEN CHROME SHADOW 10B000701 2003 - METALLIC

Also I was thinking of giving these a call when the time comesgrumpy

has anyone used them before?

Thanks Paul.

Just trawled through restorers to see if there are any near me who look up to the job.

Found this one;
http://thewheelrestorer.co.uk/

I've mailed them to see what can be done.

They are based in North East Wales, if they seem ok or otherwise I'll post up here for the benefit of the North Wales/Cheshire owners as I'm sure somewhere down the line they'll be needing the services of a repairer due to the suspect quality of the Holden /HSV wheels.

Cheers
Paul

Sorry to read about that Paul - I'd be interested in seeing the results when I'm next home though...IF they're done in 3 weeks!
