Motorbikes and mountain bikes
Discussion
For a bit of fun (and a change) I've shot some bikes in the last few weeks, here are some of my favourites - sorry there are quite a few...
1 This guy was completely nuts

2 I didn't get wet thankfully

3 I found myself whistling the tune to Kick Start when this guy turned up...

4

5 This guy had a group of mates with him with their camera phones out, so when he saw my camera he was happy to put on a show

6

7 100ft in the air....lol

8 From petrol to pedal powered. Most of these shots had a flashgun on camera and a slave on the floor the other side of the rider which was a big help. Some worked, some didn't.

C&C welcome. All a bit new to me but great fun. Was out today shooting the MTB's and a mate came with me and he has another flashgun so we could set up a slave. Funny thing was, i tended to press the shutter earlier than him so the slave flashed for me but then didn't recycle fast enough for his shot (Hi Matt if you're reading this!)
I forgot to use slow sync flash on shot 5 so it fired at the start of the exposure rather than the end which kinda spoilt it a bit but hey ho - I'll know for next time. In fact i find it very easy to get in a muddle with the flashgun. it's hard enough balancing ISO, shutter, aperture etc and the flash often causes me more problems than it solves!
P.S. These look sharper at full size for some reason??
ETA - I've just noticed I forgot to clone out the slave flash in the last shot!!!

Thanks for the comments.
The mtb shots are taken at Leckhampton Hill, Cheltenham. Some huge jumps on the downhill runs and generally the riders are friendly and don't mind having their picture taken. I've offered to email them to some of the riders, if they ask, but not really thought about selling them as such.
