You seem to like our little feathered friends, so i thought you might be interested to know that we took pictures of and recorded the song of, a Common Rosefinch, who spent about 3 weeks in our garden looking for a mate.
He would wake us about 5am every single day with his song.
Sadly for this gorgeous little fellow, the nearest ladies were probably hundreds of miles away, as he was one of very few spring visitors to the UK.
His song was delightful, (unique alarm clock!) and we put out his favourite food daily, but what we couldn't do, with all the best will in the world, was supply him what he so wanted.
