Hi all,

Does anyone have a warranty for their M3 with Warranty Direct?
Just want to get an idea of what price you can beat them down to.
£800 seems to be their standard price but I want to know how much you can haggle.

Much appreciated !
Scott

£480 for 13 months on my M Roadster as a member of the BMW car club. Covers the vanos as well
Might be worth joining the club for that level of discount.

thanks Phil. Did they start off quoting 800? Just want to see how far I might be able to haggle?

I wouldnt bother after doing the same myself and taking out a warranty with them. Wouldnt touch the reversing parking sensors when they went, 'not covered'.

I really think your 60quid/month is best kept in your bank account to cover bills, it's not a very unreliable car, and you can always get goodwill if you have FBMWSH which does a surprising amount on costs.

FWIW I was quoted 720/year (paid at 60/month) unlimited claims, 25quid x/s.

No, quote was about £600ish -- mentioned the club and things began to improve.
Had a recent claim met as well -- air flow meter replaced, wouldnt pay for diagnostic check to identify problem but paid out in full for meter and virtually all the main dealer labour rate. They have a limit of about £97 per hour on labour and I got charged about £115 per hour. Not bad overall, total bill was about £410 and I got £280 back -- and very quickly.

I was just reading on MTorque the price of BMW waranties has been reduced to circa £750 sub 60k miles, might be worth reconsidering your options.

They have a stupid 1000 per claim limit on the policy, which makes a chocolate teapot more usefull in my eyes.
