Viper badge information plese
Discussion
Hi guys,
Below is a pic of a lapel badge I got for my son from Dodge, plus lots of other stuff when the Viper car first came out in 92, but I am just wondering what is the connection/significant of the 5 circles at the bottom of the badge? which is the logo for the Olympic games, including layout and colour??

dont know, but Dodge may have been one of the many US team sponsors for the Barcelona games
Yep they were, I have seen a few of those badges appear on ebay lately...
They aren't worth a great deal... $3 or $4 seems to be about right...
On this site there is the one you have and a slightly different one for sale for $4 each

Thanks for the link Dave, amazing what you can find on e-bay.
When I got the freebie from Dodge, also got a smashing freebie book all about Caroll Shelby and the team, (then) involved in building the Vipers, and for $14 I got an exploded drawing of the RT/10 about 3 x 2 ft, the non reflective frame I had it hung in cost nearly £80 but well worth it, still hangs in my sone bedroom, not sure if many of you guys have this.
The pic isnt too good, but its difficult to get a good pic with even non reflective glass on it, but you can see the gist of it, also added a close up of the engine
Thats the one car I have pencilled in on my wish wish. Thanks again for all the info.
On the first pic, you can see the logo of Viper RT/10 across the page just under the car, nice touch I thought.

I have to admit to having a rather large collection of Viper 'stuff' and I know I am not alone here... Comes with the territory I'm afraid... The obsession grows! But I have not seen that poster before, very nice! I like that alot... Got any pics of the book you mention?
I will have a shufty in my sons bedroom, and try to locate it.
Hi again Dave,
Found the stuff, the cut away drawing by the way was work of world renowned automotive artist David Kimble.
Attached find 4 pics, each explained for you, just in case you do have them etc.
This one is one side of a lovely A4 size double sided brochure, the rear just being a bog standard RT/10

This is the front cover of the "Technical Manual" a freebee from Dodge, has 26 pages covering the History, Production, Chassis technical features but to name a few. Interesting, but guess you guys know this, the Viper was selected for the 1991 Indy 500 pace car, and it means Team Viper had to have a functional vehicle indentical to the production VIPER - but more than 6 mnoinths before production.

The next one is page 5 from that manual showing the History of the car.

And the final one is the front cover of the 32 page book which cost me a staggering $10.

Enjoy
