Hi all, picked up my new 335i on Saturday, love it. I do have 2 queries. 1) the automatic lights. In the auto position mine stay on even in bright sunlight. My husband thought the running lights might be set on but nope all ok. He had a 6 series and also had issues with the auto light staying on. Is this just a beemer thing? 2) Will an i phone work through he Bluetooth? The dealer has no idea. Sorry if asked before but this is my 1st venture to this forum.

If the "running/day driving lights" box in the I-drive "settings" menue is unticked, the lights should be off when the lights switch is set to auto! If not, something is wrong..
I-phone does not work unfortunately (at least mine doesn't)!

There may be nothing wrong - the BMW auto light sensor is biased toward the IR end of the spectrum, not visible light, and clear blue winter skies confuse it especially on cold days. My 1 series always puts its auto lights on in these conditions, even though it's fine in summer and on cloudy days. There's something in the manual to that effect too.

Thanks Pete, my dealer did mention this and to be honest I thought he was waffling. Sounding more plausible. Message to self... read the manual !!! Pete

£269 i thnk but we are tied into an O2 contract which makes it a very expensive piece of kit. To be honest its supposed to be a surprise gift from my other half but he is see through so I thought I would pre-empt the Christmas pressie and find out if it will work.
