It is getting irksome to have to keep shouting next door every time I need a cup of Tea, sometimes getting to the stage where I have to get up and go to the door of the office to make myself heard!

Now I reckon that some of you "high flyer's" must be pulling in well over a hundred pounds a week or more and so must have come across some form of remote device for ordering your tea?

Maybe a cable operated flag system, or a set of lights that may include cake or biscuits, I feel I deserve to treat myself this Christmas and of course it will be good for staff morale with me not having to shout etc.

Any advice?

I'm basically trying to avoid speaking to the staff at all so the phone is not an option, the only female we have here would not fit under the desk! indeed I am having to have the stairs widened to avoid a lawsuit!

Paper planes.

In this season of fan heaters there are plenty of thermals to help transmit your order to the underlings.

You could employ a polish worker?

Tell them to make a tea, make one for themselves each time, they're happy, you're happy, fat bird avoids the stairs.

Email. Simple and effective, and you have documentation of your order and when it was placed. Job done

Problem with this is that the "Fat Bird" usually makes the tea and she refuses to use email as her first name is Dot (really) and so would be Dot Dot "Surname"!

This get's my vote. You get to deliver the message detailing your tea and bicuit/cake order and it comes back to you via a model railway.

You get your brew AND you get to play with a train set.

I suggest you go for a largish scale, '0' gauge should be about right so you have large enough rolling stock to carry what you need. Plus it will be harder for the fat bint with her chubby fingers to derail the rolling stock, if she does, it's also easier for her to put it back on the track.

Job done and Woo Woo!

This has legs! but we need to resolve the stairs issue? the kettle is downstairs and the offices upstairs. I think I would need some kind of water fed gravity railway such as in Lynton Devon in order to link up with the line upstairs. This may be costly frown

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm scratchchin

Alternatively you could use a rack style railway as they do in Switzerland to get up those mountains, I think you can also get gauge 1 models of the trains too, they are nice and chunky so will meet all payload needs, and with the rack will meet all traction needs with no slippage.

I think it may do nicely.

How about one of those pneumatic tube thingies they use in post rooms and suchlike? You put your order in the tube and they send you back your cuppa in a thermos flask.

Then ask for one of these for xmas to complete your high tech beverage delivery system

What you need is a Honda ASIMO. You haven't really made it until your office has one of these bad boys:

You don't even need to get out of your chair to show your new secretary around the office:

And it charges itself when it feels hungry too.

Probably more expensive than these two though:

biggrin

For some reason that Honda robot jobby perturbs me.

Now those puppies above! Oh hell yes, they solve all your brew issues, and if they are prepared to wander about in various types of lingerie and bikinis all day you get somthing to look at when bored.

What about some sort of funicular railway engine with the tea-carrying trailers incorporating a gimbal arrangement to avoid spillage...?

Must admit I'm swaying towards the Polish option as she definitely would fit under the dask......

However I think that in case of a visit from Mrs A perhaps the scale funicular may have merit!

Fortunately not in his bum. That would be disturbing. Here's a video of how it charges though:

Just like the later AIBO's, they go to their "bed" when they are low on juice. My AIBO just goes to sleep or falls over, then I know I have to recharge him.

I would LOVE an ASIMO...just not the price tag if any became available onto the market.
