top tip. if you're thinking of doing a long journey at the moment and your heater has packed in, either a) take another car or b) wear every item of clothing you own!

300 mile trip to belgium yesterday before sunrise, and i couldn't feel my feet or fingers when i got there. got the return leg tonight, and sadly mark at TVR belgium didn't have a tamora heater flap motor in stock.

Tamore, get your mechanic to adjust/jam the flap in the hot position as a temporary fix so there is always hot air available instead of cold, the flap defaults to cold with power off or a fault, had two fail on my old Tam, takes about 1 hour to do.

didn't think of that. just called him again, and he's put it back together as you suggested anyway. so my nuts won't be making the same noise as a newton's cradle, hurrah!
