relocation of external temp sensor

has anyone relocated their temperature sensor?

mine is abviously too close to a heat source, as it always over reads by several degrees. it was telling me it was 6C last night, and it wasn't even that high in the cabin! (see other thread i've just started)

i don't care if it's telling be it's 20C when it's 13C, but i would like to know it's below 3C when it's telling me it's 10C.

you can just see it on right of fin in factory fitted position


Now moved to free air flow to brakes from inboard of splitter to rads

Theres at least 8" of free wire loom to move it

Mine works fine now

you can just see the temp sensor on right of the outer fin poking downwith a M10 nut on it


suppose it could be behind the fin though.

Change the nut to plastic this helps for better stable ambient temp reading

This sensor only used for the display and the ice detector warning (nowt' to do with the aircon etc)
