*Almost* The proud owner of an E30 318iS

Hello folks,

I'm literally just about to go and do a deal on this little beauty!



To say i'm excited would be an understatement. I've always harboured a secret desire for a bit of old school BMW class and this seems to fit the bill perfectly!

Any other E30 owners/enthusiasts about?

Now that's a nice example. My first BM was a red E30 318iS, wish I never sold the thing as I may be on the lookout for another as a track day weapon.

The only thing yours seems to be missing is the deep front splitter?

I had an E30 touring until recently. I had planned an engine swap but I ran out of enthusiasm. Very addictive cars though, I hope you enjoy it!

I bought one last year and loved it. tracked it (hard)3 times and apart from a clutch slave thingy nothing went wrong. Brakes were very impressive with some Pagid fast-road pads just for your info.

Great fun, and I love the retro driving experience- thin A pillars, upright glass, a rear you can see when reversing. They "feel" quick which is part of their attraction in my mind.

Oh- and I sold 8 months after I bought it for the same 800 coins that I paid for it

I'm running an E36 318iS, probably got nowhere near the character of the E30.

Mate had an '85 325 years back, it was a wonderful car to drive. I'll have to see how the commute on the new job goes, but I've got a hankering for either an E30 318iS or maybe, just maybe an E30 320iS.

Yup. (ex-owner though - I picked it up last night!)

Apparently (as mine has) the rear wheel arches are prone to rust.
