When do you get your allocations?

I was told it might be Feb. Ive paid for 6 ferry crossings and am slightly concerned. i joined the ACO to (I thought) guarantee getting the campsites we want but were told by them it means diddly-squat. Why not allocate them early, I wouldnt mind paying for them in June for the following year if in meant getting what we wanted. It really is quite annoying to say the least !
The thing is E36Guy it’s easy to worry when you don’t hear anything for months! Most folk just want to know where they are staying as soon as possible as plans tend to shape themselves around that. The ACO do tend to come through in the end but unfortunately there is a very real possibility that these guys will be offered Beausejour in March, which is too late to then organise an alternative with an agent. Not blaming the ACO here at all, fully appreciate that this year especially, they don’t have all the info to hand regarding the campsites because of the building work in Maison Blanche, Houx Annexe etc. Its just one of those things but it’s understandable why people get a bit twitchy.

It is a bit worrying if you have not reserved with an agent. As it is hit and miss with the ACO, I always book with someone who can guarantee my place.
Precisely why I have my own campsite now! Loads of space (about 50sqm per car!) so everyone that comes with me is guranteed a pitch and that includes groups who get sited together and we don't pack em in like the rest of the sites. TL have their allocations and they only have Beausejour left now.

WE'll be on BSJ but much more towards the front to take advantage of having plumbing so can install bogs/showers etc on our private site. Love that back spot for the relaxed atmosphere but I'm not risking that quagmire again. It's only really any good in the sunny conditions. Although I am told the ACO are working on improving the drainage on the campsites in general. That however, remains to be seen.
