Not of the engine - of the underside of the bonnet showing the reinforcing X.

Why? I have a bonnet for my LS6 cerb project that I got from plasticman but its just the outer shell (no skin or reinforcing underneath) so I need to strengthen it, preferably by the same method as the original part. I know its reinforced with an 'X' but can't recall exactly where it runs corner to corner or whether there's anything else required.

Cheers
Don

The cross section doesn't have any insulation, so if the engine bay was warm when parked the rest of the bonnet retains more heat once parked due to the lining, whereas the cross section has no insulation / lining....

So, if it remained below zero for a day or two and no thawing occurred, would this then mean that the cross would slowly disappear?

Useless info I know, but nothing on telly at the mo!

I think the braces are metal bars, which conducts heat away from the surface.
